Pitman provides around the clock nursing home services for frail or medically complex residents. These services allow for a graceful transition from assisted living. Long term care of this type is provided through our team of licensed nurses, certified aides and therapists and is broadly referred to as Skilled Nursing. Skilled nursing comprises the most intensive and highest care level provided to our residents and is providing in the same overall campus as the assisted and independent living residences.
Long Term Care Administered Through Skilled Nursing
Nursing home care is delivered by skilled nursing personnel who include registered and licensed practicing nurses, certified nursing assistants, and physical, speech and occupational therapists. This team works together cooperatively to promote recovery and manage, maintain and improve functioning and quality of life. At United Methodist Communities, care is highly individualized and the patient, their family and their goals and capabilities are a key part of the care plan designed for every patient.
All organizations conducting nursing care are licensed, inspected and regulated by their state’s Department of Health Services; in this case, by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
